hrithik18k/punck-tscircuit-recreation

A four-layer Eurorack drum/sampler controller PCB built around an STM32H743, dual QSPI flash, PCM5100 stereo DAC, TL074 analog audio circuitry, input clamps, 12V-to-3.3V power regulation, MIDI/USB/SWD connectors, controls, LEDs, and trigger/audio I/O.

# Punck — native tscircuit recreation

Project: `E:\project\tscircuit\Punck`. Original: [dchwebb/Punck](https://github.com/dchwebb/Punck), Hardware_v1_1, commit `06cc9914f34f9e53bc21cdb8d0246d97dfda66ec`.

The electronics and controls boards have native tscircuit schematics and newly autorouted PCBs. Native TSX uses components, footprint primitives, schematic sections and netlabels. Inputs contain no original PCB tracks, vias or pours. See [NATIVE_BUILD.md](NATIVE_BUILD.md) for implementation details and deliberate differences.

## Open

```powershell
cd E:\project\tscircuit\Punck
bun install --frozen-lockfile
bun run dev
```

Select `preview/components.circuit.json` or `preview/controls.circuit.json`, then **Schematic** or **PCB**. These are saved native build outputs; opening them does not rerun the autorouter. The old `prepared/components.circuit.json` is a PCB-only reference import and has no schematic.

For source editing use `bun run dev:native` or `bun run dev:controls`. Rebuild and verify:

```powershell
bun run build:native
bun run verify:native
bun run preview:native
```

## Files

- `native/`: editable TSX, exact footprint geometry, pin/net data and schematic layout.
- `preview/`: validated native schematic/PCB snapshots.
- `dist/native/`: build outputs and schematic SVGs.
- `source/`: unchanged original KiCad sources.
- `prepared/`: imported reference boards; panel is mechanical and has no circuit to autoroute.
- `evidence/`: validation results and intermediate failure evidence.
- [HIGH_PRIORITY_ISSUES.md](HIGH_PRIORITY_ISSUES.md): reproduced issues, owning repositories and proposed fixes.
- [REFERENCE_IMPORT.md](REFERENCE_IMPORT.md): historical converter workflow and fidelity audit.

The schematic uses native resistor/capacitor symbols and labelled generic symbols for other devices. The new route omits source planes. Return paths, high-speed routing, current capacity and fabrication constraints still need engineering review. Outer-layer shorts checks are not a complete four-layer manufacturing DRC. Original attribution and licensing remain with the source author.

The editable board JSX is in root index.circuit.tsx. The default website preview remains the validated snapshot; direct native autorouting requires the documented via repairs.
