# SmartKnob Screen PCB in tscircuit
Editable recreation of Scott Bezek's SmartKnob View Screen board, derived from upstream commit `340eed936d04da718e66cbb89613ee2fdff4bf26` ([source](https://github.com/scottbez1/smartknob)). This release contains one circuit entrypoint, `screen.circuit.tsx`, with 12 footprint instances. The companion board is published separately as [`hrithik18k/smartknob`](https://tscircuit.com/hrithik18k/smartknob).
Run `bun install` and `tsci build screen.circuit.tsx --pcb-png` to generate circuit JSON and a preview. The original pad and copper geometry is carried in `data/`; `smartknob-board.tsx` renders it with JLCPCB imports where available. Routing is disabled to preserve the reference copper.
The screen board keeps automatic placement checking enabled and its local build reports zero placement errors. The companion base package uses documented placement-check suppression for six false reports caused by axis-aligned LED bounds at the flexure cutouts. Both boards retain audited source pad, net, and copper geometry. See `VALIDATION.md` for details. Neither board has been fabricated or hardware-tested from this conversion.
