# Fabrication notes

- Board: 100 mm × 66 mm, 1.6 mm thick, four copper layers.
- Finish appearance: blue solder mask, white silkscreen.
- Layer intent: top and bottom signals, inner 1 ground pour, inner 2 routed signals.
- Minimum routed trace: 0.15 mm.
- Minimum via: 0.20 mm finished drill with 0.45 mm pad.
- Input power: 5 V from the upstream USB-C male connection to the MacBook.
- Downstream current protection: nominal 500 mA trip setting per AP22653 switch; all ports share the MacBook's available aggregate current.
- USB data: route declarations target 90 Ω differential impedance. Give the fabricator's actual stack-up to an impedance calculator and update width/gap before production.
- Assembly: verify polarity, connector orientation, and all pick-and-place rotations in the assembler preview before ordering.
- Bring-up: use a USB-C current meter or a current-limited Type-C source, verify 5 V and 3.3 V rails, then test USB enumeration, each downstream port, aggregate loading, and SD read/write operation.
