# Assembly notes

Use the Gerbers, BOM, and top placement file from the `fabrication` directory. All 67 fitted components are top-side SMD parts. The USB-C receptacle has four plated mechanical shell stakes and two non-plated alignment holes.

The display is JLCPCB/LCSC C5123566, X150-2828KSWKG01-H25. It is an SMT-assembly part with a 25-contact 0.65 mm-pitch flex tail and is included in the BOM and placement file as U9. When JLCPCB has stock and accepts the part for the selected assembly service, the display is fitted during assembly; the user does not solder it afterward.

Before fitting the ESP32-S3 and OLED during prototype bring-up, apply USB-C power and verify:

- V5 after F1 is near 5 V.
- V3_3 is near 3.3 V.
- OLED_12V is approximately 12 V.
- OLED_VCC is off while OLED_PWR/GPIO7 is low and rises to approximately 12 V when GPIO7 is high.
- The green power LED lights.

After assembly, verify that EN and GPIO0 idle high, all six navigation inputs idle high and pull low when pressed, and the status LED responds to GPIO42. Confirm the polarized-part rotations in JLCPCB's rendered assembly preview before ordering; the current tscircuit export reports that supplier pin-1 rotation metadata is unavailable.
